Well, up to this point the Celtics have looked more and more like a complete team. Not only that, but they look like a team that plays games until the buzzer. We’re only 14 games in, but to this point, the C’s are atop the Eastern Conference with a record of 11-3-0, tied with the Milwaukee Bucks. The addition of Kemba Walker has proven to be worth the price of admission thus far as he leads the team in points per game (22.6), and appears to have helped in recreating a team-first environment; something that was a far-fetched idea with Kyrie Irving. The young talent in Tatum, Brown, and Smart have thrived to this point, all averaging double figures in the early stages of the 82 game season, and prior to his hand injury, Gordon Hayward appeared to be back in his all-star caliber ways.
I think it’s way too early to say that Boston are destined for the finals and banner number 18, because basketball is a game of runs, not just in-game, but in-season as well. Streaks are a part of the game whether they be positive or negative, so don’t start planning the parade just yet.
If these Celtics can stay healthy and even further revitalize their locker room chemistry, this team is primed to do damage in the NBA.
