Whoops, Did I Jinx The Celtics?

Whoops, Did I Jinx The Celtics?

I may have spoken too quickly. That’s my bad. My philosophy is never predict a championship; it’s okay to predict a trip to the championship, but never predict that they’ll come out on top. I broke my own rule.
Either way, this is a massive offseason for the Celtics, and this will really put Danny Ainge to the test. It’s almost a guarantee at this point that Kyrie isn’t staying around. I think it was Jaylen Brown after the elimination by the Bucks who said, “we’ll help him pack.” The final four games against Milwaukee weren’t exactly any to write home about for Kyrie, going 4-18, 8-22, 7-22, and finally 6-21. That’s tough to look at. However, that along with his questionable personality will have almost zero effect on him finding another home. Not only that, a home that will pay him an enormous amount of money to live and play there. Is that a positive for the Celtics? I believe so. I’ve said it multiple times, that Kyrie can’t be on a team where he isn’t idolized and relied upon, and the Celtics are a team that essentially has multiple Kyrie’s.
Boston got flat out beat after game one by Milwaukee, and that gives Ainge and the C’s quite a bit to think about in another long offseason.

P.S. it has to sting just a little to be the only Boston franchise not having played in a championship game/series this year.
