I think the only team everyone expected to be in their conference championship game was the New England Patriots. If you also expected the Vikings, Eagles, and Jaguars… you’re a lying sack of you-know-what. I don’t think anyone can quite put into words or nearly begin to describe the ending of the Vikings Saints game, let alone what the meaning of the result of that game would entail. If you told me last year that the NFC championship game quarterbacks would be Nick Foles and Case Keenum… first of all I had to google who the Vikings QB was in order to finish this sentence. That alone should tell you what the hell is going on in the playoffs right now. On the other hand, you have the Jacksonville Jaguars led by Blake Bortles beating the Pittsburgh Steelers. A quarterback who, in the first round, ran for more yards than he threw. Blake Bortles ran for 89 yards, and threw for 88. Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, Josh McDaniels, Matt Patricia and the New England Patriots: listen, and listen closely. This very well may be the easiest path to a 6th mother loving ring for Pats nation. Brady should already be sizing up his other hand for crying out loud. Don’t mess this up. However, if the improbable happens, I would absolutely be thrilled to see a Vikings Jaguars Super Bowl. It would hands down be the lowest watched and predicted Super Bowl matchup in history, but would absolutely be the most fun.
