The New England Revolution have hired Brad Friedel as their new head coach. This has raised the eyebrows of the New England faithful for a few reasons, good and bad. Friedel is one of the winningest goalkeepers in U.S. National Team history, and was amongst the best goalkeepers in English Premier League history in his tenure with Tottenham. However, Friedel also has very little coaching experience, only heading the U19 U.S. Youth National Team for a few months.

The question the fans have is: does Friedel’s playing experience give him enough legitimacy to try and reign in this Revolution squad and get them back on track? Or is this another mistake of a hiring by the Kraft family.
